Minnesota Blades Announces Reggie Berg Will Coach 2005 Team

The Minnesota Blades are proud and excited to name Reggie Berg as the

2005 Minnesota Blades Head Coach. Coach Berg grew up in Anoka and

played High School Hockey for the Tornadoes as a freshman and

sophomore before moving to Des Moines Iowa to play for the Bucs of the

USHL as a Junior and Senior. Golden Gopher fans will remember that he

played for the WHCA championship team and WCHA Final Five

Championship team. While at the University of Minnesota, Berg earned

All-WCHA honors and was a WCHA scoring champion while becoming a

member of the 150 Point Club, Berg was drafted by the Toronto Maple

Leafs and played 7 seasons in the Carolina Hurricanes organization for

their affiliate teams the Cincinnati Cyclones of the IHL, Lowell Lock

Monsters of the AHL and the Florida Everblades of the ECHL before

retiring in 2007.

Berg has been working at and running hockey camps for nearly 20 years.

He currently coaches two mite teams while also volunteering as the Mite

Director in the Elk River Youth Hockey Association.
