The Jr. Blades 2012-2013 Winter Mite Development Program!
Next winter, you will not have to choose between getting high-level development training and playing mites with your friend and neighbors in association hockey. You can do both!
Beginning in October, 2012, the Minnesota Blades is pleased to offer a winter development program for the following: 2003 Mites born 7/1/03 or after; 2004 Mites; and 2005 Mites. Designed by MN Blades and Scott Steffen, this program will supplement your association winter mite program. You get to play mites at home, but you come together twice each week for more advanced training. The Jr. Blades Development Program meets Sundays, late afternoon, at Mariucci or Ridder Arena, and Wednesdays, late afternoon/early evening, at Hat Trick Sports in St. Louis Park. The program runs from October 7, 2012 through February 13, 2013.
The program will include 16 - 90 minute clinics, or 24 hours total of skills training, with Coach Steffen on Sunday afternoons, approximately 4 PM at Mariucci/Ridder, AND small area intramural games (16 total- 1 hour games) on Wednesday nights, at either 5:15 or 6:30 PM, at Hat Trick Sports. Players will be assigned a game time for Wednesday nights after the first clinic in October. The players participating will be broken into 2 groups based on ability. Please note that coaches may need to balance out the 2 groups to ensure that games and clinics are enjoyable for all. Therefore, there could be movement between the groups (which affects the player's Wednesday game time) during the first few weeks of the program. Families will be notified.

steffentraining.com) has coached and trained hundreds of professional and Division 1 hockey players, and we are happy to have him on staff.
Our goal is to provide a top-shelf development program that enables young players to develop without taking them from their home associations and friends in their tender mite seasons.
Note for Goalies: Goalies at this age need to develop skating skills as well as goalie skills, thus, goalies in the program will skate on Sunday nights at the development clinics, and will be in goal in the small area games on Wednesdays.

- Total cost of development program is $525 for skaters and $275 for goalies. Full fee due at the time of registration.
