Note from Coach Dornbach........
"I am honored to be asked to coach the 2002 Minnesota Blades. I will be taking the lessons and development concepts Troy Jutting, Lance Pitlick, Terry Zimmer and I have worked on for the last 5 years with the 1997 Minnesota Blades. The 97's are considered a top AAA team in North America. This past weekend they competed in the Subway Classic- Winnipeg, MB, known for attracting great talent from all of Canada and the States, and were Finalists. They have won the Showdown in Motown the last 2 years and were Finalists at The prestigious Brick Tournament in 2007." Click here to view Brick highlights.

Recently and prior to winning the Stanley Cup of course, Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Black Hawks, was asked what his favorite hockey experience in his career was? He stated it was playing for the Winnipeg Junior Jets in The Brick Tournament.

"For the next 2 years leading up to July 1, 2012, I, along with some excellent NHL alumni and D1 college hockey players, will be dedicating ourselves to developing high end 2002 birth year players to ready them for the greatest hockey experience a 10 year old can have- The Brick Hockey Tournament- Edmonton, AB 2012. The Minnesota Blades are the ONLY team Minnesota sends to this prestigious hockey tournament for 10 year olds."

"We will strive to replicate this experience for 2002 birth year hockey players. We will have a ton of fun developing the athletes into adaptable hockey players that can play with any top player in North America. There is more to hockey than skill development.

If you have a 2002 birth year hockey player and you are serious about his development and would like to tryout for the Minnesota Blades and Team Brick 2012, come join us on July 13th.

Sincerely,

Greg Dornbach
